Can’t think of what to send your child at summer camp? Think back to your childhood! If you are a grandparent with a grandchild at camp-even better! Without smart phones and computers at hand, your young camper might be struggling to fill his free time. The care package you send might be a lifesaver! Here’s a few ideas:

Classic Games such as checkers, Uno, Mille Bourne, pick up sticks, jacks, marbles, dominos, and a plain deck of playing cards.

Puzzles and puzzle books are perfect for quiet times. Metal puzzles, maze puzzles, slide puzzles, Rubik’s Cube, books of crossword, word find, suduko, and logic puzzles are easy to mail and wonderful ways to unwind.

Simple Outdoor Toys like jump ropes, skippers, any sort of ball, frisbees, velcro catch games, or water balloons.

Art and Craft Supplies would be much appreciated by most children. Embroidery floss and paracords for friendship bracelets, sketch pads, coloring books, colored pencils, markers, or watercolors.

WARNING! Some things from the past that you should never send would include water pistols & cap guns, slingshots, food or Jarts! Ha!

Mirth in  a Box sells fun and unusual camp care packages. We have plenty of premade packages, but if you are feeling creative, we encourage you to make your own special care package for your camper in our Build Your Own Section! Have fun!
