March 7, 2014 ‘Middle Name Pride’ Day

Did you know that today, March 7, 2014  ‘Middle Name Pride’ Day? Seems that

Be proud of your middle name!

some people think March 10th is the day to celebrate your middle name (in fact that is the date most commonly used) but Wikipedia says it is EITHER March 10th or Friday of the first full week in March. Who is going to argue with Wikipedia? Not me!

My full name is Susan Gay Gasser and I have never been called Susan, only Gay, since the day I was born. Tis true!

What is you middle name? How many of you use your middle name instead of your first?

  1. Not sure why there’s confusion about “Middle Name Pride Day.” It’s always on the Friday of “Celebrate Your Name Week” (the first full week in March) and has been for years now. Nonetheless, thanks for celebrating with us! Cheers!
