September Shuns National Honey Month Title

In 1989 the National Honey Board proclaimed September to be “National Honey BeeMonth” Since then September has been the month to celebrate this natural sweetener and promote beekeeping. September begrudgingly accepted the title and carried this moniker for decades but decided to call it quits this year.

“The parting is mutual and amicable,” a spokesperson for September stated. Not surprisingly a disgruntled beekeeper, obviously stung by the split snorted, “Honey, don’t beelieve that! I could drone on for hours, but it’s a sticky situation”.

Twitter has been a buzz with speculation about September’s next National Month title. Lobbyists for Chile Peppers have been spotted going in to the ninth month’s office. An unnamed staffer reported that 2 dozen roses where delivered from the United Federation of Cabbage growers.
