Waiting quietly
The Mirth in a Box Testing Facility is working hard during happy hour at the Gaelic American Club.
Lab Notes: Annoying at best and down right malignant on a bad day, leprechauns are the favorite prey of St. Patrick Day revelers. Rumor has it that if caught, the leprechaun must grant 3 wishes before being released. Not a bad exchange for a few minutes with this cranky creature! Mirth in a Box decided to test out different types of leprechaun bait. We took the red eye to Dublin and hitchhiked out to the countryside.
Testing: We first tried Lucky Charms. Seems any fondness for Lucky Charms was made

up by the PR folks at General Mills. Next we tried a red-haired maiden. Apparently they are a dime a dozen in Ireland. Reaching deep down into our bag of tricks, we came up with a boom box and played the sound track to River Dance. Leprechauns have become immune to these tunes. So we then tried a pot of gold, but quickly realized leprechauns have more than they need. Lastly we built a trap box and placed on it a sign that read, “Do not ever enter!” This actually worked.
Conclusions: After several pints of Guinness we were not thinking clearly enough to formulate 3 perfect wishes so we tried to hedge our bets and came up with the following:
I. World Peace
II. Health for everyone
III. Three more wishes (had to try it)
A. Happiness for everyone
B. Cleveland Browns go to Super Bowl
C. Three more wishes
1. Mirth in a Box has a bellwether website that is fun & easy to use.
2. MiaB is incredibly successful and gets an office with a fireman’s pole.
3. Everyone at MiaB has health, happiness & 3 more wishes.
That should cover everything for now.
